# Database repair — 4 October 2026

The current application expects `products.section_id`, but some existing databases were created from an earlier SQL dump that did not contain this column. This causes:

`SQLSTATE[42S22]: Column not found: 1054 Unknown column 'section_id' in 'field list'`

Preferred fix from the project root:

```bash
php artisan migrate --force
```

If cPanel/hosting does not provide terminal access, import `HOTEL_POS_DATABASE_FIX_2026-10-04.sql` in phpMyAdmin once.

After either method, clear Laravel caches:

```bash
php artisan optimize:clear
```
